Cocoa Powder On Your Eyes and Eyebrows?

Makeup - flatlay 2

I love me a cup of hot cocoa, throw on a few marshmallows and I’m good to go! Not only does cocoa powder taste good – you can use it as make up too! More specifically, eyeliner and eyebrow powder (I’ll be honest, I may have made copious amounts of hot cocoa while making these).

3 Quick Eye Makeup Hygiene Tips

  • Throw away eye makeup after three months – bacteria that causes infections can easily grow in creamy or liquid eye makeup!
  • Never share eye makeup (yes, even if it’s your best friend), unless you’re using your own brushes and wands!
  • Remove all eye makeup at night before sleeping, especially mascara that can stick to your lashes. Not only will you wake up with panda eyes, you’re also at higher risk of eye infections, because your eyes will rub against your pillow all night long, pushing the bacteria further into your eyes. Eww.

Cocoa Eyeliner

Makeup - 1

Ingredients:
½ teaspoon Cocoa Powder
2 teaspoon Coconut Oil

Mix the cocoa powder and coconut oil together. Use a clean brush, and apply! This will give you brown eye liner – you can also replace the cocoa powder with 1-2 capsules of activated charcoal for black.

Cocoa Eyebrow Powder

Makeup - 2

Ingredients:
2½ teaspoon Cocoa Powder
1½ teaspoon Coconut Oil
1 teaspoon Cornstarch

Mix the ingredients together in a small bowl or jar. Use a small brush to test the colour on your hand. Adjust the colour accordingly to your preference and hair colour. Like the eyeliner, you can also use activated charcoal here if you need the colour to be darker.
