Foot Care Tips
Foot care can be done at home without pricey products. DIY foot care can give you the result similar to having a spa day – but at home! The best way to take care of your feet is very simple and could be done daily. Here are some tips on taking care of your feet.
Trim Your Nails
Trimming your toenails regularly to a suitable length will prevent them to be broken and ingrown.
Let Your Feet Breathe
Just like other parts of the skin, being covered up with sweat and dirt – imagine how bad your feet would smell. Remember to let your feet breathe by taking your shoes off after you get home.
Wear Comfortable Fit Shoes
Shoes that are too small will rub your feet and can cause blisters and corns. Don’t wear high heels too often if you don’t need to!
Natural DIY Foot Care at Home Remedies
Olive oil will moisturise your feet. Baking soda is a great natural exfoliant and cleanses the skin. Honey will nourish dry parched skin.
Ingredients: 1 cup sugar, 2 teaspoon Baking soda, 2 teaspoon olive oil, and 2 teaspoon Honey. If you want, you can add a few drops of Jojoba oil or Essential oil.
Mix all ingredients together. To use, rub the mixture onto your foot and massage it in circular motion, concentrating on rough spots. Rinse off. This scrub can also be used on hands. The mixture will last for 2 weeks, be sure to store it in a jar in a cool dry place.
Foot Soak and Detox
Epsom salt softens and neutralise odors while removing pain from sore feet. Baking soda will detox the skin. Vinegar eases your feet when you walk a lot. Peppermint oil hydrates the feet and deodorise them.
Ingredients: 1 cup Epsom salt, 1 cup Baking soda, 1 cup Sea salt, 1/4 cup Vinegar, 1 cup Warm water. You can add a few drops of Peppermint oil if you wish.
Mix all the ingredients together. Soak your feet into the mixture for about 20 minutes. After time is up, wipe your feet with a damp, warm cloth. For extra moist, apply Vaseline onto your feet!
